The Update component of TaxTron is the online extension of TaxTron that helps you keep your TaxTron software up-to-date with the latest patches. New content is added to the site as necessary, so you can always get the most recent updates and fixes to the TaxTron software.

If you require this update you can download it by doing the update when the program starts or please contact us by using the Support help form

The current version of TaxTron 2011 is 1.0 Released on April 23rd, 2012.

The update includes the follow fixes:

bullet Some calculations have been updated as per certification requirements

bullet Roll forward issues corrected
bullet Problem with EFile error 149-R resolved
bullet Update link on the TaxTron Channel now takes you to the Professional software update page
bullet Problem where some pages displaying English when language of return set up as French were corrected
bullet Issue regarding account number on business forms such as T2125, T2121, T2042 resolved.
   
bullet Additional OST Calculation fixes
bullet NAICS Codes updated
bullet Overrides can be removed by using the menu command under Edit
bullet TP-80 is no longer misreported when there is no T2125
bullet Error 511 problem has been corrected
bullet Alignment on the T1273 French form has been corrected
bullet The black boxes that were appearing on some 10.5 computers have been fixed
bullet Issue where adding a T5 slip was causing a the software to crash has been corrected
bullet Linked tax returns problem where the software was causing the software to slow down has been resolved
bullet T1273 Alignment on page 1 when working in French
bullet Death benefits from a T4A(P) are now correctly reported in point 8 on line 154 of the TP1
bullet Preferences now save the pre and post assessment options while working under French
bullet Formatting of SIN, telephone number, account numbers corrected across multiple forms
bullet Solidarity tax credit estimate credited
bullet Schedule A Part D transfers are now denied for children under 16
   
bullet RL-8 is now a single instance form and the tuition for all four boxes of the T2202A will be totalled in Box B
bullet The T1013 should now print correctly
bullet Taxpayers separated in the year and that were receiving error 491 can now regenerate there .tax file and send there return to Canada Revenue
bullet T2036 is now included when you print the return if applicable
bullet Error 511 problem has been corrected for province SK, NB and NFLD.
bullet Unhandled exception has been corrected where in certain returns after roll forwarding a return the software would crash
bullet T5008 capital gains where being misreported as 50% of there values on Schedule 3 and 25% of there value on Schedule G. This has been corrected so that 100% of the capital gains is reported on both schedules.
bullet Donations have been corrected, it was not including the donations to universities outside Canada or donations made to the United Nations
bullet Line 432 on the TP1 was not being calculated correctly as per Schedule E, this has been corrected
bullet Alignment issues fixed on numerous pages
bullet Quebec error H0153C has been corrected and a diagnostic is now displayed if the problem exists
bullet Amount from RL-22 was being doubled for Quebec Medical expenses purposes, this has been corrected
   
bullet Correction for the error 162 - Authorization failed
   
bullet TP-78.4 has been updated the ending CCA was not being calculated correctly
bullet Issue with donations where you could not specify a lower amount to claim has been corrected
bullet Donation optimization has been corrected
bullet The results of TP931.1 were not being reported on line 122 of the Quebec return, this has been fixed
bullet Diagnostics have been added for Schedule S and T if the first and last name of the transferee's or not entered
bullet A correction has been done to the reporting of stock options on the Quebec return
bullet The date of death of the spouse was not being included when NETFILING the Quebec return, this has been fixed
bullet The description text for line 246 of the TP-128 was misplaced and has now been moved to beside line 246.
bullet Releve 10 was reporting Box B and H if claiming the Fondaction, le Fonds de développement de la Confédération des syndicats nationaux pour la coopération et l'emploi. Now Box B must be manually entered. Check existing tax returns as Box B may need to be manually deleted.
bullet Numerous errors were corrected or diagnostics added in relation to the TSTRUCT error
bullet Dependant sharing of credits have been corrected
bullet Dependants who have mutiple names, will no longer disappear when the tax return is closed
bullet Added a line to Schedule 4 part 4 for legal fees and correct a problem where those legal fees where incorrectly reported at line 231 of the Quebec return instead of point 8 of line 250.
bullet The Quebec Schedule 8 problem has been corrected where the wrong amounts were displayed
bullet The First time home buyers amount ws not being included in the federal return when NETFILING/EFILING the return, this has been corrected
bullet Quebec error message H0249C has been resolved
bullet The HBP and LLP ending amounts were not being updated if no payment was being made in the year, this has been corrected.
bullet The T777 form line 25 was not including other employment income from line 104, this has been corrected
bullet On Schedule C if your income was above the highest bracket the percentage was not coming up in part D, this has been fixed
bullet On the TP-80 you could not specify zero as an amount to claim for CCA, this has been fixed.
   
bullet Diagnostics that are linked to combo boxes can now be removed. The problem was affecting T2209, Child care expenses, and other forms)
bullet Correction to cent issue, rounding was creating inconsistency between what is being displayed and what was generated for NETFILE
bullet You can now select a lower amount for claiming of RRSP contributions
bullet The alignment of the T1 General Non-Resident return has been corrected
bullet Quebec diagnostic stating that you are claiming more than six tuition transfers when you are not has been corrected
bullet Quebec pension optimization is working better now
bullet Annexe S maximum transferable amount has been updated
bullet Some data entry cells where showing as being overridden even though they were not, this has been corrected
bullet Caregiver credit was claiming line 6096 on the Ontario return, this will no longer happen
bullet Problem with some Steps in Steps mode has been corrected
   
bullet You can now enter on the T1 General page 5 the amount you are paying including the cents
bullet Further corrections to cents issue
bullet Fix for Manitoba tax credit if the spouses are involuntarily seperated
bullet Corrections made to the reporting of PPIP
bullet Correction to the Capital Loss Continuity page, it was reporting an amount used even if no deduction was being claim in certain circumstances
bullet Box C of Releve 2 was getting stuck in a circular loop causing the income to grow continously on a Quebec tax return. This has been corrected.
bullet Reporting of boxes 404 and 405 of the Quebec return were being reported inversely (when 404 was required 405 was check marked and when 405 was required, 404 was check marked)
