15: How do I correct a return I already filed?

To make a change to your tax return, either wait until you receive your Notice of Assessment. Once you've received it, you can send a letter to your tax centre requesting an adjustment to your tax return, or you can use My Account's Change my return option.

If you send a letter to Canada Revenue Agency, provide your name, address, and social insurance number, and indicate the tax years to be adjusted. Also, because they wouldn't have received any paper documents with your NETFILE tax return, include the receipts and supporting documents for the original claim and the changes you want to make.
