30: Where do I claim deductions for RRSP contributions?

RRSP deduction can be claimed on RRSP contributions page which can be added from the Page Catalogue. You are requested to enter your RRSP information in various sub-steps. First is your actual contribution, second is your RRSP limit as per your Notice of Assessment/Reassessment for the previous year. If you have withdrawn you're your RRSP this year or in earlier year[s], under the Home-buyers Plan and/or Life-long Learning Plan, you need to enter those details separately. Lastly enter your actual RRSP deduction for the year. If you want to claim an amount lower than the amount displayed, you can check the box and enter a lower amount than your actual claim. You can claim contributions between January 1st of the taxation year to 60 days of the next year on your tax return, only if you did not claim these contributions on your previous years return.
