Who should claim child care expenses?
Either you or your spouse or common law partner can claim child care
expenses. These expenses are deductible only if, at some time in 2004,
the child was under 16 or had a mental or physical infirmity.
In the case of married or common law couples, the person with lower
net income should claim these expenses.
