What is the disability status claim? How will it
affect my tax return?
The disability status claim provides additional tax assistance for
those caring for individuals with a severe and prolonged mental or
physical impairment.
To qualify for this disability status claim, a completed and approved
Form T2201 Disability Tax Credit Certificate must be on file with CRA.
If this is your first year to claim this credit, you are not eligible
to NETFILE, but you can continue to use TaxTron Simple. Just print
your return and mail it!
