How do I Netfile my tax return?
To NetFile your tax return you will need to follow the below steps or click on the link and watch the demo:
How to Netfile your return
1. Open your tax return
2. Goto Step 5 and click on the NetFile button
3. Select the mailing province and click Ok
4. The NetFile validity page will open, review this page and select any items that apply. If any items apply you will not be able to NetFile your return, you will have to paper file your return by printing it out. If no items apply click the last option and then Click Ok.
5. Review the diagnostic messages and go back and fix anything that needs to be corrected before you file your return
6. Click on the finish button to close the diagnostics window while reviewing the last diagnostic
7. Click on Connect To CRA
8. Your web browser will open and take you to the NetFile website
9. Read the information on the page and when you are ready to proceed click on the "I agree with the Terms and Conditions - proceed" button.
10. Enter in your SIN, date of birth and access code.
11. If you don't have an access code, goto http://www.netfile.gc.ca/accesscode-e.html
12. Scroll down the page to Step 2 and click on the Browse button, TaxTron usually saves your .tax file in the My Documents folder under the TaxTron files folder. Select your .tax file and click on Open.
13. Scroll down to Step 3 and if you have a Balance Owing and you will be making a payment within the next 5 days, select the option.
14. Click on "I Agree. File My return now!"
15. Record the confirmation number
